Individual Brief Cognitive Therapy
Individual brief cognitive therapy is a short-term, evidence-based intervention that helps you to identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that contribute to your emotional distress and behavioral problems.
The goal of this therapy is to help you develop more balanced and realistic thinking patterns and enhance your coping skills by challenging your thought patterns.
Individual brief cognitive therapy typically lasts between 6 to 12 sessions, depending on your needs and goals.
Each session is 45 to 60 minutes long and involves collaborative work between us.
I will use various techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, exposure, acceptance, problem-solving, and homework assignments to help you to achieve your desired outcomes.
Individual brief cognitive therapy is suitable for you if you are experiencing mild to moderate depression, anxiety, stress, anger, or low self-esteem.

Individual brief cognitive therapy is not recommended for clients who have severe mental disorders, substance abuse issues, or suicidal ideation.
Cognitive Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
Cognitive therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is a specialized form of cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on addressing the psychological and behavioral factors that interfere with sleep quality and quantity.
The aim of this therapy is to help you to identify and modify the thoughts, emotions, and habits that contribute to your insomnia, and to establish a healthy and regular sleep routine.
Cognitive therapy for insomnia typically consists of 4 to 8 sessions, lasting 50 to 90 minutes each. The sessions will be tailored to your specific sleep problems and goals, and involve both education and practical exercises.
I will guide you hands on to the principles of good sleep hygiene and we will create a routine suited for your life and lifestyle.
We will also challenge and reframe negative or unrealistic beliefs about sleep, such as “I need 8 hours of sleep every night” or “I can’t function without sleeping pills”.
You will be guided to implement behavioral strategies such as stimulus control, sleep restriction, relaxation techniques, and cognitive coping skills to improve their sleep efficiency and satisfaction.
Cognitive therapy for insomnia is suitable for clients who suffer from chronic or acute insomnia, or who have difficulties falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early. Cognitive therapy for insomnia is not recommended for clients who have medical conditions that affect their sleep, such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, or narcolepsy.
Couples Therapy
Cognitive therapy for couples is a form of couples therapy that helps partners identify and change the dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors that undermine their relationship satisfaction and intimacy.
The goal of this therapy is to help you develop more constructive and adaptive ways of thinking, communicating, and relating to each other, and to enhance your emotional bond and mutual respect.
Cognitive therapy for couples typically involves 12 to 20 sessions, lasting 75 to 90 minutes each. The first session will be for both of you after which you will each have a private session. From the fourth session on they can be either joint or individual sessions depending on your needs.
The sessions are structured and collaborative, and involve both individual and joint work.
You will be guided to assess your relationship strengths and weaknesses, clarify your expectations and goals, and address your specific issues and conflicts. I will also teach you various skills and techniques such as cognitive restructuring, active listening, assertiveness, problem-solving, compromise, and forgiveness.
You will also be given homework assignments to practice the skills you learn in the sessions.
Cognitive therapy for couples is suitable for partners who are experiencing mild to moderate relationship difficulties, such as communication problems, trust issues, sexual dissatisfaction, or infidelity.
Cognitive therapy for couples is not recommended for partners who have severe mental disorders, substance abuse issues, or in a situation with domestic violence.
Positive Parenting Course
There are no difficult children, there are children with whom communication might be difficult. As adults it is always our responsibility to provide the means for communication and ensure mutual understanding.
Positive parenting course teaches you how to raise confident, and resilient children by using positive and effective parenting strategies.
The course covers topics such as child development, communication skills, emotion regulation, discipline, problem-solving, and self-care. The course aims to help you to enhance your relationship with your children, reduce stress and conflict, and promote your children’s well-being and success.
If you struggle with your child's tantrums, behavioral problems, get negative feedback from your child's school or feel like you have a hard time understanding why your child acts the way they do, this course will help you to understand your child better. That in turn will help you to answer to the needs of your child with appropriate response.
Positive parenting course consists of 8 weekly sessions, lasting 2 hours each.
The sessions are interactive and engaging, and involve a mix of presentations, discussions, role-plays, videos, and exercises.
You will also receive homework assignments to practice the skills you learn in the sessions.
Positive parenting course is suitable for parents who have children aged between 1 and 12 years old, and who want to improve their parenting skills, confidence and who wish to create closer bond with their children.
Functional Family Therapy For a Blended Family
Cognitive therapy for a blended family is a form of family therapy that helps members of a blended family cope with the challenges and opportunities of living in a new family structure.
A blended family is formed when one or both parents remarry or cohabit with a new partner who has children from a previous relationship.
The goal of this therapy is to help the family members adjust to the changes, resolve conflicts, build trust and respect, and create a positive and harmonious family environment. Cognitive therapy for a blended family typically involves 8 to 16 sessions, lasting 60 to 90 minutes each. The sessions are flexible and tailored to the family’s specific needs and goals, and involve both individual and group work.
You will be helped to identify and modify the negative or unrealistic thoughts and beliefs that affect your feelings and behaviors towards each other, such as “He/she is not my real parent/sibling” or “They don’t love me as much as their own children”.
You will also be taught various skills and techniques such as communication, empathy, cooperation, problem-solving, and coping. The family members are also given homework assignments to practice the skills they learn in the sessions.
Cognitive therapy for a blended family is suitable for families who are experiencing difficulties in adjusting to the new family situation, such as role confusion, loyalty conflicts, jealousy, resentment, or rejection.
Cognitive therapy for blended family is not recommended for families who have serious mental health issues, substance abuse problems, or abusive or violent behaviors.
